Each year the Trucking Association of New York (TANY) coordinates a trip to Washington D.C. with the American Trucking Associations (ATA). The event provides an opportunity for 91¿´Æ¬members to meet with New York State’s congressional delegation in order to discuss priority issues at both the state and national level.
Prior to the meetings, ATA staff provide updates on key legislative and regulatory issues for the attendees. Meeting logistics are covered and ATA lobbyists are assigned to help facilitate meetings and assist in answering questions.

While the COVID-19 pandemic prevented 91¿´Æ¬from flying to Washington D.C. and walking the halls of Congress, it did not hamper the association from holding this important event. 91¿´Æ¬was the first state trucking association to conduct their Call on Washington, D.C. program as a virtual event. 91¿´Æ¬worked closely with ATA to schedule video meetings with key congressional offices over the course of two days.
